Anne Nye completed course work for a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Idaho and California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland CA in 1976. She worked in the graphic design field for many years, both at The Omaha World Herald and as the in-house artist for the old Garden Café Corporation. Anne began showing her paintings locally on a regular basis about 1998.
In 2000, Anne began working in fused glass, developing her own “painterly techniques”
and wall-mountings for glass panel paintings. She also perfected a method of painting on glass using imported paints which are fired onto the glass making them extremely durable and suitable for many applications.
